We are thrilled to announce our biggest community event of the year: "The Hunt - Finding Squatchy"!
This October, Hey Elgin is gamifying local shopping to bring excitement and guaranteed traffic directly through your doors—or to your food truck window, or your website!
We have built a custom web app where participants will follow daily clues, hunt for "Squatchys" hidden around town (and online), log their finds, and check the live leaderboard.
We are looking for 20 local businesses to be our exclusive hiding spots. And yes, you do NOT need a brick-and-mortar storefront to participate!
Here is what a $200 sponsorship gets you:
Guaranteed Traffic: Hundreds of locals will walk through your doors, visit your mobile setup, or browse your website to scan the QR code on the Squatchy. You can even offer them exclusive discount codes in the app to drive sales!
Massive Online Promotion: Your business will be highlighted across the Hey Elgin!! podcast, our social media platforms, and our paid event advertising.
Zero Effort Required: For physical locations and food trucks, we will come in and place the 4-inch wooden Squatchy out of the way. For online businesses, we will provide a digital graphic to hide on your site. You just watch the players roll in!
Spots are strictly limited to the first 20 businesses.
Most importantly, your $200 goes directly toward the Operation Sasquatch 2026 fund. As a newly minted 501(c)(3) non-profit, we are using the net funds raised ($3,250) to provide immediate direct relief and do the most good right here in Elgin.
