Operation Sasquatch

Doing Good for the People of Elgin

The Official Mission Statement

Hey Elgin - Operation Sasquatch is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to serving the community of Elgin, Texas. Our mission is to harness the power of local unity to provide immediate, direct relief to neighbors in need, creating a continuous ripple effect of support throughout our town."

What is Operation Sasquatch?

Why We Started
We started this initiative in 2025 based on a simple, undeniable belief: when a community acts together, incredible things happen. We noticed that while there are many great national charities, sometimes the people who need the most urgent help are the ones living right down the street. We wanted to build something that stays 100% focused on our own backyard.

Our Focus: Doing The Most Good Locally
As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, our funds and efforts do not leave Elgin, Texas. We step in when our neighbors need us most to fill the gaps that others might miss. Whether we are rallying volunteers and partnering with local businesses to construct a wheelchair access ramp for a community member, organizing a rapid diaper fund drive to support a local mother and her newborn, or hosting town-wide events to raise critical funds, our goal is always the same: to do the most good locally.

The Ripple Effect
We aren't just about handing out funds; we are about building community. Your contribution—whether as a sponsor, a donor, or a volunteer—directly fuels a continuous ripple effect of support. When you support Operation Sasquatch, you are directly supporting the family down the street, the business on the corner, and the future of Elgin.

Because of folks like you pitching in, we are able to provide:

• Immediate Direct Relief: Helping local families navigate sudden hardships, keeping food on tables, and providing essential resources.

• Neighborhood Improvements: Funding critical infrastructure projects, like building mobility ramps and securing transportation for neighbors in need.

• Community Uplift: Making sure the people who make our town so special are taken care of when life throws them a curveball.

• Holiday Help: We are collecting donations to uplift a few nominated person(s)/family(s) on Saturday, December 19th at 10:00 AM. Our goal is to surprise them with everything they need to make the season bright: a full family meal, gifts for their kids, and a whole lot of holiday cheer they otherwise wouldn't have.

Every single dollar counts, and your choice to step up and support this mission is the catalyst for an unshakeable current of good.

Our Core Values

• Community First: Every dollar raised and hour volunteered stays within Elgin city limits to directly support our neighbors, local businesses, and families.

• Action-Oriented: We prioritize boots-on-the-ground execution over bureaucracy. From building wheelchair ramps to launching rapid-response fund drives, we mobilize quickly to address urgent local needs.

• Complete Transparency: Trust is the foundation of our community. We maintain open, honest communication regarding exactly how every tax-deductible donation is deployed for direct relief.

• Joyful Engagement: Philanthropy should connect and energize the town. Through interactive, town-wide events like the Squatchy Hunt, we build stronger local bonds while funding our mission.

• Unifying Collaboration: We actively partner with Elgin businesses, civic leaders, and fellow non-profits to pool resources, share expertise, and amplify our collective impact.
